Girona itself is a beautiful city with a history dating back to pre- Roman times. There are numerous places to visit and its an ideal place to take a walking tour with one of the local guides. The historic town of Pals is a good place to spend an afternoon.

Girona has numerous bars and restaurants that offer great food at more reasonable prices and the Old Quarter is a lively place at the weekends. The seaside Resort of LLoret de Mar is packed in Summer with visitors lured by the sun and the evening entertainment on offer. It’s the party capital of the Costa Brava with scores of bars and restaurants lining the main strip.
