About Club de Golf Costa Brava, Girona

The Club de Golf Costa Brava course first opened in 1962 as an 18 hole designed along British lines with fairways winding through ancient pine and oak trees is one of the oldest courses in the region. An Additional 9 holes was added which with its wider fairways provides a different type of challenge with several water hazards. The three loops of nine can be combined to make two very different courses one a par 70 and the other a par 73. Located in the Vall d’Aro surrounded by mountains the fairways are lined with centuries old pine and oak trees and overall it is an exceptionally beautiful location.

The par 70 Green course has a difficult tight front nine and then the back nine opens up with wider fairways situated on a gentle terrain.

The Par 73 Red course is much longer at 6000 metres with six water hazards to catch the wayward shot. With five par 5’s , four par 3’s and 9 par fours it is an extremely well balanced golf course and a delight to play.

The terrace in the traditional Catalan farmhouse that has been converted to become the clubhouse is a perfect spot for an after round drink or bite to eat as it overlooks the 18th green. There are good practice facilities with 2 putting greens and a driving range. The course is easy to find and is about 40 minutes from the centre of Girona in the Santa Cristina d’Aro area.
