All our York golf tours offer a number of courses within 20 minutes drive of the city centre. The most famous is Fulford Golf Club. This championship layout was the former home of the Benson and Hedges Open – you may recognise it from the famous photos of Bernhard Langer hitting his shot out of a tree on the 17th. Perhaps you’ll have more luck!

York Golf Club is a member’s course and offers the best greens in the region and a superb parkland layout. The course is 125 years old and relies on accuracy rather than length – it’s a hidden gem that shouldn’t be missed.

Sandburn Hall Golf Club is the newest member to the York golf scene and offers a relaxed clubhouse and a great resort style layout. Forest of Galtres Golf Club is one of the few courses offering Saturday tee times and offers a great layout and design.

Want to travel further out of the city? Ganton Golf Club is a former Walker Cup venue and perhaps the best course in Yorkshire. Around 45 minutes drive from the city centre, it is well worth the journey.
