Stay And Play At Emporda Hotel And Golf Resort Near Girona In The Costa Brava Region

The four star Emporda Hotel And Golf Resort sits alongside two very good golf courses and is situated about 45 minutes from the historic city of Girona. The area is steeped in culture as it is the birthplace of Salvador Dali and is renowned for its cuisine with an amazing number of Michelin starred restaurants in the province.

The hotel has a very contemporary look about it and this is reflected in the modern stylish and spacious guest rooms. On one side you have a view of the mountains and on the other side of the hotel the rooms overlook the golf courses.

All the rooms have balconies and with floor to ceiling glass windows there is every opportunity  to enjoy the view. The rooms feature contemporary furniture and fittings and have air conditioning, flat screen TV, a modern bathroom,WiFi for your devices, desk and mini bar.

As you would expect from a hotel in this region the food provided in the Tramuntana restaurant is of the highest quality. Fresh local produce is used in highly imaginative and creative ways to provide you with a culinary experience to remember. The food served in the clubhouse is also excellent and with the view of the golf course its an ideal spot to contemplate the days golf. It serves typical Spanish and Catalan cuisine with a modern twist.

There are two very different and contrasting golf courses on site at Emporda Hotel And Golf Resort. You wouldn’t expect to find a Scottish style links course in Spain but you will here. The Links, as its called, winds through sand dunes and lakes with water featuring on at least 12 of the holes. The Forest course, as its name suggests, is more parkland in nature with pine trees providing the main hazard as the fairways wind through the forest producing some seriously good golf holes. Water does play a part but not as often as on the Links course and overall its easy to see why this is regularly ranked as one of Spain’s top ten courses.
