The Brabantse Golf is easily reached from the centre of Brussels as it is situated between the E19 motorway and the airport and is a very short drive from the city centre. It is situated next to the Floordambos forest which provides a great backdrop to the round and there are views of the Estates castle from several holes.

The Beautiful Brabantse Golf Has A Former Castle For A Clubhouse!

It was opened in 1982 and is the first Flemish club in Brussels. It’s a par 72 of around 6500 yards with several holes protected by water hazards but with several different teeing grounds to play from you can make it a fun or very challenging course to play. The course is flat and many of the fairways are tree lined with well positioned bunkers protecting the greens and driving landing areas. It is not the most straightforward of courses with several dog legs and careful strategy is called for to obtain your lowest score. The par three seventh hole is a gem from the back tees playing close to 190 yards with a pond to carry over and a bunker on the right-hand side of the green catching those who bale out.

Water comes into play on the third and fourth holes and those with a slice will need to take care playing them. Theres a really good finishing stretch which requires great accuracy to thread the drive through the trees and find the fairway. The fifteenth is another gem as it’s a longish par 4 and once you have found the fairway you face an approach shot to a green that is guarded by a pond on the right-hand side.

The welcoming clubhouse is built inside the old castle walls of the Cleyn Hoff estate and has a well-deserved reputation for its food and a great selection of beers to try.
