About La Sella Golf, Denia
La Sella Golf Course is attached to the five star Denia Marriott La Sella Hotel and about ten minutes from the centre of the town of Denia. Its approximately an hour‘s drive from both Alicante and Valencia Airports and is in between the Montgo National Park and the Mediterranean.
It’s a twenty seven hole complex giving three diverse loops of nine holes that were designed by the renowned Spanish golfer Jose Maria Olazabel. The most popular combination of these loops gives a par of 72 and is around 6600 yards. It‘s not one of the longest golf courses but it still provides a challenge to golfers of all abilities with an emphasis on shotmaking rather than pure power. The first loop is called the Llebeig and there the fairways wind through large pine trees and give views of the Montgo National Park. Water hazards provide the principal challenge on the Gregal loop which is a reasonably flat layout in contrast to the Mestral group of nine holes where the elevation enables you to experience views of the sea.
There is a very good and well–equipped Golf Academy which offers either group or individual tuition to a very high standard using the latest technology. You can have your swing analysed by the team of professionals using video equipment and Flightscope that will not only improve your game in the short term but will give you the basics for long term improvement.
You can put into practice what you have learned on the excellent driving range and there is a very advanced short game area offering a wide choice of different areas to perfect your skills around the greens.
La Sella is a good Resort style golf course that whist not providing the toughest test will be an enjoyable experience for golfers of all abilities.
