The highly acclaimed Quinto Do Lago South has picked up a number of prestigious awards due to its continued excellence since its development in 1972. Set within 2,000 acres of beautiful countryside and pine forests, the course borders both the Atlantic Ocean and the Ria Formosa Natural Park in the Algarve – such is its prestige and quality that it’s held the Portuguese Open no fewer than seven times.

Golfers of all abilities will enjoy Quinto Do Lago South as the fairways are generous, the landing areas off the tees are fair, and the rough is well-defined. The course allows frequent use of the driver and favours the long hitter however there are a number of dog legs and hazards to keep you thinking strategically. There is some interesting variety on the holes with the front nine running in parallel to the parkland whilst the back nine bend around the lake.

Beyond the stunning golf course, there is an opportunity to hone your swing at The Academy – complete with state-of-the-art coaching tools and highly qualified professionals. There is also a 300m driving range and practice putting green. Finally, you have the opportunity to relax in the clubhouse where ample changing rooms and showers are available before reminiscing about that birdie putt in the bar.
