Opened in 2000, Benamor Golf was the first course built east of Faro and was designed by the legendary Sir Henry Cotton. Inspired by the region’s natural beauty, Cotton created a layout that makes the most of its gentle terrain and panoramic views across the hills and coastline.
The course features tree-lined fairways, strategically placed bunkers, and small, fast greens that reward accuracy over distance. Water hazards appear on a handful of holes, while the variety in hole design ensures an enjoyable challenge from start to finish. The signature par-5 13th offers a particularly memorable test, with a sweeping fairway framed by olive trees and views stretching out toward the Atlantic.
