About El Rompido Golf, Huelva
There are two courses at El Rompido Golf making this a great place for a golf holiday in Costa de la Luz.
The South opened in 2003 to be followed by the North in 2006 both being designed by Alvaro Arana and are situated in a huge national park. El Rompido Golf’s two 18-hole courses, surrounded by pine and orange groves, cross the wetlands and open out onto the Atlantic Ocean with some spectacular views, giving those who play it a unique experience. The absence of any houses surrounding the courses makes playing on them a pleasure on your golf holiday in Costa de la Luz.
Opened in June 2006, the North course at El Rompido Golf, according to the Peugeot Guide to Europe’s Top 1000 Golf Courses, is a monument to modern golf, intelligent and entertaining. Modern because it combines power with precision; intelligent because it makes you think about your strokes; and entertaining because its medium-sized greens will entertain both the most skilled player and those with the highest handicaps. A great mix for any standard of golfer on their golf holiday in Costa de la Luz.
The course at El Rompido Golf blends into the beauty of its natural surroundings and requires no stroke that could be deemed unreasonable.
Opened in October 2003, the South course at El Rompido Golf runs alongside the clubhouse and is divided into two courses with very different characteristics, both in terms of technique and the landscape.
The pine forest alternates with olive trees and wetlands, requiring golfers to use strategy and precision in their strokes. The course, which can be played easily on foot, offers spacious greens known to be among the fastest in Andalusia. The combination of tropical grass and winter grass gives the fairways a comfortable, pleasant feel.
