About Clube de Golf Santos Da Serra
An impressive 700m and overlooking the bay of Machico, Clube de Golf Santos Da Serra is an incredibly impressive 27 hole golf course crafted by Robert Trent Jones Sr. that weaves beautifully into the natural landscapes. The three nine-hole courses here are Machico, Desertas and Serras.
The history of golf on this golf course dates back to the 1920s, with the original 9 holes all Par 3s. However its rich history and quality have shone through to more recent times, as in 1993 it hosted the first Madeira Island Open which was won by England’s Mark James.
Adding this course to your trip to Madeira will put you in good company – King D. Juan Carlos of Spain has enjoyed a round here!
Before you tee off you can warm up on the driving range, two-level putting green, or chipping green with bunkers. After enjoying a round here, experience lunch in the panoramic restaurant.
