Recently some of the Glencor Golf team traveled to Murcia to witness what La Manga Golf Resort had to offer. With its 5* Hotel and 4* Apartments on offer there is something for everyone. With its recent award of best luxury resort and villa in Europe for 2017, voted for by travel and tourism specialists, business and leisure travel consumers worldwide, we predict its popularity to continue rising.
The Las Lomas Village 4* Apartments look to be purpose built for family holidays or those who search for a superior break to incur that little bit of independence and peace of mind, whilst yet still appreciating all the resort’s amenities. Situated minutes from the Club’s Wellness Centre, the Village offers excellent views across the resort. Whilst the luxurious Principe Felipe 5* Hotel is the perfect choice for those who seek top class facilities and exceptional service at their doorstep, the rooms offer several spectacular views of the golf courses and magnificent gardens.
The Resort is home to three fantastic 18-hole Championship courses, each one with its own unique appeal and landscape with first-class practice facilities to hone your swing, is there any more reasons you need to book a golf trip to this magnificent resort. The South course, designed by Putman and later remodelled by Arnold Palmer has been home to numerous major competitions from the PGA Championship to multiple Spanish opens, playing a near 6500 meters from its back Tees and offering water hazards, a combination of short and long holes with 2 Par 3s both more than 200meters really does invite those golfers who fancy challenge.
The North Course, designed by the renowned Robert Dean Putman with its gullies, Lakes and palm trees playing just shy of 6000 meters, offers the chance for golfers of all abilities to shoot a good score with its large inviting greens, yet still offers a challenge with its tight fairways.
Finally, The West Course designed by Dave Thomas offers several elevation changes proposing a whole different challenge to La Manga’s other two courses. The back nine up amongst the hills but nonetheless challenging is a refreshing change the front nine that demands accurate driving to avoid the large natural storm gullies.
