With fantastic weather predicted in Britain over the Summer months, we’ve decided to add to our range of UK golf breaks with a much wider selection of excellent resorts.
If it’s a luxury weekend break you are after then look no further than Stoke Park in Buckinghamshire which featured in the 007 film Goldfinger, or you want to play one of golf’s most historical courses then Carnoustie in Scotland definitely ticks off a bucket list course.
This is the latest addition to our Luxury Collection due to it’s fabulous quality and service levels. Founded in 1908 Stoke Park is one of the UK’s most famous golf resorts which has generated a thriving reputation for quality. Infamous for it’s appearance in the 007 film Goldfinger, this resort has 49 bedrooms and suites, 3 restaurants and bars and a 27 hole championship golf course all onsite.
The Carnoustie Golf Hotel And Spa has not one but three world class golf courses onsite, with the most famous being the championship course. This superb venue has hosted the Open Championship and the Dunhill Links. It’s said that golf was first played here as far back as the 1th century which makes this venue one for any true golf fan to play!
After a £50 million investment, the Fairmont St Andrews resort opened in 2001. It’s situated just a short 10 minute drive away from the infamous Old Course and is home to two excellent championships courses, the traditional links style Torrance Course and the Kittocks Course. On site there are a number of restaurants to suit a variety of tastes, 209 bedrooms including 17 suites and two external Manor Homes plus a Spa to unwind in away from the pressure of the fairways!
This historical building was developed by merchant and Banker Charles William Bigge in 1812 in huge swathes of countryside making it the perfect setting for a relaxing golf weekend away! This 18th Century manor house is now complimented by an 18 hole on site golf course and a luxury Spa and health club complete with indoor swimming pool. The perfect venue for a Northern UK golfing weekend.
