About Ramside Hall Hotel
Located in County Durham and in 350 acres of land, both 18-hole courses at Ramside Hall Hotel have stunning views of the countryside and the resort itself is easily accessible from the A1(M).
This resort offers the choice of a number of room types, from classic twins or doubles to Deluxe Rooms, to Premier Rooms, to Junior Suites. Each room comes with a flat-screen television as well as free WiFi so you can chill out in style after hitting the fairways. Rooms also come with either a garden or golf view and a private bathroom. The Deluxe rooms have slightly more space and luxurious décor, whilst the bathrooms come with the finest toiletries. On-site at Ramside Hall Hotel is two great championship golf courses. The Bishop course, built in 2014, has no fewer than 16 water hazards around the course, with many options off the tee to attack or play conservatively. If you have the heart for an adventure this is the course for you, par 5’s to attack in two, driveable par 4s and some stunning short holes that will test your wedges.
Cathedral Course is built on natural features including ridges, becks and valleys, the course has spectacular views of the Durham Cathedral and the Angel of the North. Both Courses were designed by Jonathon Gaunt The stretch of holes 11th -14th is ‘Ramside’s Amen Corner’. The 12th hole of the Cathedral course has a resemblance to the 12th at Augusta, but instead of Rae’s Creek, Sherburn Creek is there to protect the front of the green. With state-of-the-art practice facilities with a floodlight-powered Toptracer driving range, warming up has never been so fun. The Toptracer range allows instant feedback on the game screens as you see on television. This product features games that are suitable for all ages and standard of golf. You can even virtually tee it up and some of the world’s best courses before you go out onto Ramside’s own courses!
