Le Méridien Dona Filipa offers a wide range of facilities and services specifically tailored to meet and surpass the requirements and expectations of hotel guests. The hotel offers three floodlit tennis courts and instructor, a heated swimming pool, children's heated pool, sports and learning programmes for children up to 11 years old and the Penguin Village (to entertain our small guests).  Penguin Village, Le Méridien Dona Filipa's unique facility for children is supervised by professional staff and available daily from Easter until September.

The Algarve, with its pleasant climate, is a perfect place for leisure and sports enthusiasts. Golf is particularly high on the list of things to do, and there are numerous golf courses to test even the most ardent player. At the hotel, of course, is the exclusive and challenging 18-hole San Lorenzo Golf Course. The superb and well-frequented San Lorenzo Golf Course, designed by Joseph Lee and owned by Le Méridien Dona Filipa, is considered one of the best golf courses in Europe. The hotel and golf club are unique when it comes to outstanding views, a calm and tranquil setting, and shows nature at its best. The golf club is a member of the Audubon Co-operative Sanctuary System.

There is a health club next to the hotel, 800 metres away. Horse riding facilities are within four kilometres of the hotel, and numerous water sports activities and deep-sea fishing are within ten kilometres. The nearest town, with Roman remains, shops, entertainment and a casino, is in Villamoura, 12 kilometres away. Estoi (20 kilometres) also has Roman ruins.
