
Le Méridien Penina Golf & Resort offers a wide range of sporting and leisure facilities that includes three golf courses, an 18-hole Championship Course, a 9-hole Academy Course and a 9-hole Resort Course. There is a Golf Academy for golfers of all abilities, and Penina offers a five-day golf instruction programme. Clinics are conducted as a group, and must be booked in advance. The resort also offers a driving range, practice holes and putting greens.
Further sporting facilities include six floodlit tennis courts, five of which are hard-surface courts, and one Astro Turf court. Fees for tennis courts and lessons at the Tennis Academy are available at the hotel's resort reservations centre.
The FIFA-sized football field has been used by teams such as Chelsea from the UK and Borussia Dortmund from Germany for their winter training. There is also a three-kilometre jogging circuit with 12 exercise stations for individual and family runs that is free of charge for guests.
A fully equipped gymnasium is also free of charge for guests and a full-size snooker table is available free of charge for guests over 18 years of age. Mountain bikes are available all year round for rides within the resort for a fee. At the Archery Academy, our Archery instructor is available to give lessons to guests upon request.
Water sports are available from June to September, and the Beach Club offers windsurfing, sailing, pedaloes, waterskiing, sunbeds, towel service and a restaurant. There is a free shuttle service to and from the beach throughout the season. The outdoor swimming pool is free for residents and includes sunbeds and a towel service.
Penguin Village - Le Méridien Penina's unique facility for children - offers a range of activities including an adventure play area, swimming pool and slide, crèche, toys, arts and crafts materials and a Penguin Mac Restaurant, which is open during Penguin Village opening times. Bicycles, film shows and a bouncy castle are further facilities for children. Open Easter to 31st October / Christmas from 930 am to 600 pm and during July and August from 930 am to 900 pm, seven days a week.
